Mommy's thoughts
We are slowly adjusting to our new schedule. Our world is revolving around this baby right now. We are trying to get her to gain weight, so that is a full-time job. We take her Wednesday morning to get her weight checked and see if we are doing better. Nana Pasho has been very busy doing several projects to decorate the nursery as well as keeping the piles of laundry at bay. She flies home to AZ on May 6th and I know I will miss her a lot. Then the true test of my mothering skills will begin, since I will be home all day without an extra set of hands. Tomorrow evening we go to have professional photos taken. Our session is only 20 minutes, so I am praying she is in a good mood and the photographer works quickly to capture everything I want. We'll see. I am guessing it won't be easy.
Bath Time
Minor update.. We are tired and working hard to become zombies. Assembling this and that is part of the deal too, but I enjoy it. Kristina is having her patience tested with the feeding as Maya is still learning what to do. She will have her first bath sometime today!
Mommy is finally upstairs and ready to write: I am officially doubly in love! I have more love and appreciation for my wonderful husband than ever before. He was wonderful during the delivery and has been very active in every aspect of taking care of me and the baby. And I am in love with my little baby girl, her little lips and sweet feet. She is definitely worth any pain or sleep-deprivation. The last two mornings the sunrise has made me too excited to sleep anymore. And those of you who know me well know that I have never been a greet the sunrise kind of person. Now though I know we made it through one more night and I have her sweet eyes looking at me. Then the day is spent with meeting every one's basic needs as the achievement of the day. We've had quite a few laughs about the art of nursing and about poop. Our mothers have been big helps to us this week, and we sure need it.

First night at home...is over
It was the usual learning experience. Maya seems to have her days and nights reversed so we tag teamed soothing her and sleeping and wondering what to do. It was not really all that bad as I took her upstairs for a few hours at a time while Kristina slept. We also held her in the bed as long as one of us was awake since we have cats that like to come visit us at night.

Our moms have been very helpful with everything! here below is my mom and K's mom respectively. They are very excited and want to do anything they can to help us out. Her mom just flew in town today and will be staying at the house for the next 10 days, so I enjoyed being able to cut the grass and tend to some things now that I had some time.

back home
We are finally home again and it's good to be here. All the animals are very curious of the little noise maker. We will slowly begin to get the groove down as for now everything is all over the house so there is lots of running around to find and gather whatever we need when we find out we need it, but that's all part of the fun. We are definitely blessed with good friends and family as we have many offers to have our meals prepared and have received quite a load of baby items! So here we are at home with Maya....yeah she's backhanding me.

She's here!
Here is some info from the proud father! With water breaking yesterday at 11am and then being born at 2:22pm, she was a fast mover! Dilated from 4cm to 8cm in 30 minutes. We had no time for pain meds etc., so this was done all natural. We are thankful she came quick! These shots are from the next morning after she ate breakfast.
