Finally!
Maya ate hamburger tonight. We were eating ours while she ate her cheese and banana carrot bread. I gave her a piece of hamburger. She gave it back to me. I gave it to her again and she popped it in her mouth. She spit it out. I gave her another piece. She ate it. We all cheered "hamburger" and I tore up some more little bites as fast as I could. She probably ate 5 and then decided she was done. I gave her 2 stickers for her eating chart (one for trying it and one for eating it). She was pleased. This is a great achievement for my picky picky little girl!
My Maya
Maya in charge-
Maya is becoming quite the boss. She will tell you what she wants and how she wants it. "Mommy, sit down over here." She tells the cats to get down and the birds to be quiet "Shh!" She also bosses herself sometimes. When I hear "no, no Maya" I know I better look up.
Physics-
This week she has started being able to catch a ball. She's had a great pitching arm for quite some time. She can jump with both feet off the ground at the same time and is quite pleased to do it. She is loving the swimming pool this summer and shows no fear.
Manners-
Maya is doing pretty well with manners. She says please and thank you a lot. When she burps she always remembers to say "excuse you, Maya."
